Lucas Gonzalez started window tinting when he was just 16 years old. After serving as an Army Ranger, Gonzalez decided to combine his experience in window tint and PPF with the tools and knowledge he gained through military service. In 2021, he established Summit Window Tinting in Tacoma, Washington.

But Gonzalez founded the company on more than expertise. His commitment to providing exceptional customer service has guided business decisions and formed company culture for years.

In difficult economies, Gonzalez quickly noticed that some companies in the window tinting and paint protection industries tended to focus on outbidding each other at all costs—lowering standards in material and in the quality of the workmanship. Gonzalez felt this degraded the industry as a whole, and determined early on that Summit Window Tinting would never compromise on quality.

His dedication to customer service comes from Gonzalez’s own passion for helping people and solving problems. He enjoys working directly with Summit Window Tinting clients, to see how the final product of his work helps cool homes and protect vehicles. “It’s always an enjoyable experience,” he says, “seeing the results at the end.”

Gonzalez’s commitment to people extends beyond customers and clients as well. He founded Summit Window Tinting in part to create a business that could help employees learn and grow their own careers—and provide a liveable wage in the meantime.

Outside of work, Lucas Gonzalez is a family man at heart. He cherishes spending time with his wife, Dani-Rae, and their two children like being outdoors—hiking and camping, especially. If he can find the time, he also enjoys playing Pickleball.
